Tomato Basil Turkey Meatloaf

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup ground flax
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt



  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • ¼ cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped basil
  • Pinch of salt



Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease loaf pan and set aside. In a bowl combine all ingredients except turkey and whisk until thoroughly combined. Add in turkey and mix with your hands until fully mixed. Place meat mixture in greased loaf pan.

In a small bowl whisk together all ingredients for topping. Spoon this mixture over the meatloaf and spread evenly over the top. Bake for 50 minutes covered. After 50 minutes, remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
